VE 80 Art Competition
All Schools in Runnymede were invited to help the Mayor of Runnymede, Cllr Elaine Gill to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day – the end of the Second World War in Europe.
The children were asked to use their imaginations to create a very special piece of art that helps to promote ‘harmony and friendship amongst other countries’ - a picture, collage, garden display, sculpture – anything creative!
It was a very difficult decision, as the standard of entries was so high and the Mayor of Runnymede,
Cllr Elaine Gill really appreciated the effort everyone put into their artwork.
Although St Anne’s School was not selected as the winner on this occasion, the Mayor awarded us Highly Commended.
Many thanks for all your entries to the VE 80 Art Competition.
