Our Patron Saint

St Anne – Our Patron Saint

St Anne’s feast day is 26th July

St Anne is honoured throughout the world as the mother of Mary and the grandmother of Jesus. Although the Bible does not tell us much about her life, Christian tradition remembers her as a woman of deep faith, patience, and love. She is often seen as a guiding example for parents, grandparents, and all those who help children grow in wisdom and kindness.

At our school, St Anne inspires the way we learn, treat one another, and live out our values each day. Her life reflects many of the qualities we aim to nurture in our community:

  • Kindness – St Anne is remembered for her gentle care and the loving way she raised Mary. Her example encourages us to show compassion to everyone we meet.
  • Perseverance – Tradition tells us that Anne waited many years before becoming a mother. Her trust in God teaches us to keep going, even when things feel difficult.
  • Respect – St Anne treated others with dignity and honour. We follow her example by respecting ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
  • Forgiveness – As a woman of faith, St Anne lived a life rooted in understanding and mercy. She reminds us to forgive others and build peace in our school family.
  • Inclusivity – St Anne welcomed all who came to her with warmth and openness. Her spirit encourages us to make sure everyone feels valued and included.

St Anne’s example helps shape the heart of our school. Through her faith and love, she continues to guide us as we grow, learn, and support one another.
