Lent

Wednesday, 22nd February marked the first day of the season of Lent and Fr Graham came to school to distribute ashes to KS2 children. During Lent, children who have taken their First Holy Communion will also have the opportunity to take part in Reconciliation.

This Lent, we will be raising money for the charity 'Catholic Children's Society' for disadvantaged children and families in the UK.

During Lent, it is important to do something for others rather than just give something up. It would be wonderful if you could take some time to talk to your child about what ‘actions’ they could do to help others.

Fundraising - Building Bridges to Connect with Others

On Ash Wednesday, each child was given a calendar to use during Lent to fill with ‘actions’ they can do to make a difference during Lent.

For every action the children do, we are asking them to get sponsored, and any money raised or donated can be made through the ‘Lent 2023’ link on SCOPAY throughout the season of Lent.

Fundraising Total so far

£921

Additionally, we will be having a ‘non-school uniform day', on Friday 24th March, in which everyone is asked to wear something orange in support of our chosen charity 'Catholic Children's Society'.
