The highlight of the day was definitely our re-enactment of the Great Fire when, helped by Mr Marek, we set fire to the ‘houses’ we made!

As in 1666, there was a strong wind on Monday which blew the flames rapidly from house to house until we were left with a pile of ashes. There was enormous excitement from the children, but it also highlighted for them the dangers of fire.
