Victorian Day

On Tuesday 14th of May, year 4 were transported back in time to the Victorian Era. They spent the day in a Victorian classroom, learning all about school and taking part in lessons.

In Victorian times, it was all about the 3 R's - Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. Of course, if you didn't listen or made a mistake, you had to put on the Dunce's cap and stand against the wall! The children loved this experience but very quickly decided that modern schools are far better!

The children also enjoyed going outside to do Victorian PE, known as drill! What a fabulous day of learning it was for the children! They all looked amazing too! We even had Emmeline Pankhurst and Queen Victoria in attendance! Well done year 4!
